Enrolling Students in K–12 Schools in the District

Thank you for choosing MACCRAY Public Schools! Several forms are required for new student enrollment. If you have a kindergarten student to enroll or are new to the district, please see the information below.  Questions? Please contact the district office at 320.847.2154.

​​​​​​Families may request an enrollment packet for each student or print the forms online. Call the district office at 320.847.2154 to have them mailed to you. Submit completed forms to 711 Wolverine Drive, Clara City, MN 56222.

Kindergarten Enrollment
Children who are five years old on or before September 1 are eligible to begin kindergarten. Proof of birth date will be required for kindergarten entrance. Examples of accepted documentation include a copy of the child’s birth certificate, a hospital document, passport or baptismal certificate.

State law requires all students to complete Early Childhood Screening before they enter kindergarten. To schedule an appointment for a free screening, please email preschool@maccray.k12.mn.us. ; Parents may also be interested in our optional preschool classes that assist children in making a smooth transition to kindergarten.

7-12 Class Registration
After enrolling, parents of students in grades 7-12 students should contact the High School at 320.847.2154 to make an appointment with a school counselor who will assist you in registering your student for classes. See the "High School Registration Packet" for detailed information.
 

Apply for Free/Reduced Lunch
Free or reduced price meals are available for students whose family qualifies. The appropriate form must be completed each school year and submitted for approval.
